Ingredients
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil
How to use
Joints: Warm a small amount and massage with circular motions for 10-15 minutes. Scalp: Massage into scalp for 5 minutes, leave 30-60 minutes or overnight, wash with mild shampoo. Dry areas: Apply thinly to heels, elbows or cuticles before bed. Store in a cool, dry place.
Castor Oil
The Charaka Samhita describes Eranda Taila as one of the most effective oils for pacifying Vata. Its naturally thick, viscous consistency and Ushna Virya (warming potency) give it the ability to penetrate deeply into the tissues. This is not a light, fast-absorbing oil. It is thick and slow, and that is precisely the point. Its heavy, penetrating quality means it stays where you put it and works deeply into the area, making it particularly valued for joints, dry patches on heels or elbows, cuticles, and scalp care.
For joints and localized care, warm a small amount between your palms and massage with slow, circular motions. For scalp and hair, apply to the scalp and massage gently, then leave for thirty to sixty minutes before washing. A few drops are enough. If you need larger volumes for professional practice, Art of Vedas also offers Organic Castor Oil in 500ml.
For external use only. Not a substitute for professional medical advice.
